Are you bothered by cultural differences?

No, I am not talking about someone with different accent, skin color or sex (preference). Above these differences exists another layer, that is truly making me mad.

Testing loyalty – Apple

Apple used to have very loyal group of supporters – not to name them – fanatics. Steve Jobs seems to be testing their loyalty by dropping the price of 8 Gb iPhone from $599 to $399, barely two months after release. It is worth to watch Steve’s gambit.

I like phrase stated by CTO of CA – Al Nugent, at this year’s Wharton Technology Conference – ‘Creeping featurism’. The main point of his presentation was that more and more products released to the market – add unnecessary complexity and risks. The products that supposed to help to resolve particular problem increasingly are loaded with features that are seldom needed.

Quo Vadis Maximizer?

This is an example of not-so-great communication.

Maximizer – Vancouver based CRM company published latest news release with their accounting statement for the past quarter. I am watching them for a while since, they are based in the same place where I live, and they were promising company providing quite a good CRM for small and medium organizations.
